“Hope in Darkness” – Psalm 13:1-6

Although we do not know the background of this Psalm of David we do know that David is struggling spiritually. This is a good psalm for those who feel like God has forgotten them. How Long? Although we do not have the exact context of this psalm it is generally considered as having been written by David while he was fleeing from Saul. This psalm shows David’s struggles in a wicked culture filled with ungodly people. Help, Lord The psalm begins with David turning to the Lord for help. This is the whole point of this psalm. “God’s Testing” – Psalm 11:4-7

We saw last week the anxiety that David felt and his desire to run away. At the end of the day though, he did not run away, he ran to God for his refuge.
