Our Doctrine

What We Believe

In many ways, Antioch is just your typical church. However, our church culture is not what your average evangelical is used to. This is by conviction, not preference.

Foundation

Our View of Scripture

At the bedrock of all our convictions is our view of the Bible. We hold to several doctrinal positions that inform everything we do.

01

Inspiration

We believe that God literally spoke the Bible, Word for Word, to human authors who accurately recorded what He wrote.

02

Infallibility

We believe that the Bible is completely true in everything that it addresses.

03

Inerrancy

We believe the original manuscripts to be without error. The Bible is true in science, history, theology—every single word is correct and chosen by God.

04

Sufficiency

We believe that the Bible can and does speak to every area of human life. The Word of God is sufficient for our faith and practice.

We do not do what is traditional. We do not do what works. We do not do what is convenient. We do not do what we want. We do what God has decreed in His Word.

This is commonly referred to as the Regulative Principle of Worship. God regulates through His Word how He is to be worshiped.

Baptist Identity

Baptist Distinctives

We are Baptist in that we believe only those who profess faith in Jesus Christ should be baptized, and that baptism is by immersion.
